1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including account name, email address, private phone number, password, listing details, city, neighborhood, budget, move-in timing, tags, descriptions, image URLs, saved listings, contact exchange requests, messages, approvals, declines, and admin support activity.
2. Public listing information
Listing titles, descriptions, listing type, city, neighborhood, budget, move-in timing, tags, image URLs, personality snapshot, and selected profile context may be visible to visitors and members. Do not include sensitive information in public listing fields unless you want it visible.
3. Private contact details
Email addresses and phone numbers are private by default. They are used for account access, support, and approved contact exchange. They are not displayed publicly on listings. They may become visible to another member after a contact exchange is approved or if you choose to share them yourself.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, authenticate members, display listings, power filters, save listings, process contact exchange requests, show approved contact details, provide admin moderation, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Admin access and moderation
Authorized administrators may access account, listing, and contact exchange information to moderate content, support users, investigate concerns, manage starter content, and maintain marketplace quality. Admin access is intended to be limited to operational and support needs.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate hosting, database, security, analytics, email, or support systems; with other members when a feature requires it, such as approved contact exchange; with legal or safety authorities when required or appropriate; or in connection with a business transfer.
7. Cookies, sessions, and logs
The site may use cookies, session storage, server logs, and similar technologies to keep members signed in, protect forms, remember sessions, understand performance, diagnose errors, and maintain security. Some account features may not work without required cookies.
8. Data retention
We retain account, listing, saved listing, message, and contact exchange information as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain records, enforce policies, and satisfy legal or operational requirements. Deleted or archived content may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect account and private contact information. No website, database, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Members should use strong passwords and use care before sharing sensitive information outside the platform.
10. Your choices
You may update account information from Account, manage listings from Workspace Management, archive or delete listings, choose whether to approve contact exchange requests, and request account support from administration where available.
11. Children
Cloud 9 Roommates is intended for adults using roommate and shared housing tools. The service is not directed to children under 13.
12. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The updated date shows when the policy was last revised.
