FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Answers for browsing, filtering, publishing, saving listings, and exchanging private contact details.

What are the two listing options?

Looking for a Room is for people who need a room. Looking for a Roommate is for people who have a room available and want to introduce the room, budget, home rhythm, and roommate expectations.

Can one account publish multiple listings?

Yes. A member can publish unlimited looking-for-a-roommate and looking-for-a-room listings from Workspace Management. Each listing can be edited, archived, republished, or deleted by the owner.

Where do I update my account information?

Use Account to update your name, email address, private phone number, and password. Listing content, budgets, move-in timing, tags, and room details are managed separately in Workspace Management.

How do filters work?

Start with Looking for a Roommate or Looking for a Room in the main navigation. Each page can be narrowed by city, state, neighborhood, budget range, smoking preference, move-in timing, fit tags, keyword, and sort order.

What is the personality snapshot?

The Cloud 9 personality snapshot is a light, for-fun fit signal based on daily rhythm, communication style, and home energy. It is not a formal personality test.

Are phone numbers and email addresses public?

No. Private contact details are not shown on public listings. Contact information is only revealed through the approved contact exchange flow or when a member shares it directly outside the platform.

What happens when I request contact exchange?

The listing owner sees the request inside Workspace Management. If approved, both sides can continue with the approved contact details. If declined, the private details remain hidden.

Can admins manage the marketplace?

Yes. Admins can manage users, listings, and contact exchange requests from the admin panel. Admin tools are intended for moderation, support, and content cleanup.

Does Cloud 9 verify rooms or roommate arrangements?

No. Cloud 9 provides marketplace, profile, listing, and contact exchange tools. Members should still verify identity, room access, lease terms, payment instructions, safety, and compatibility before making commitments.
